The selected Bible hyperlink cannot be activated.

This error will occur when you've tapped a Bible reference link in a DailyReader book but you have not set up a default Laridian Bible to use. Devotional books used by DailyReader contain the text of the devotional book or reading schedule, but not the text of the Bible. For instance, The One Year Bible schedules what passages should be read each day, but the text of those passages is not included. For example, the January 1 reading from The One Year Bible is Genesis 1:1-2:25; Matthew 1:1-2:12; Psalm 1:1-6; and Proverbs 1:1-6. You can read these passages in your printed Bible, or use a PocketBible Bible to read the passage within DailyReader. This flexibility allows you to use whichever translation suits your preferences. While a PocketBible Bible is not required (your devotional book or reading schedule is complete without it), many find that their use of DailyReader is enhanced when they are able to read the Bible verses on their Pocket PC or Windows CE computer also. To set up a default Bible:

  1. Install one or more PocketBible Bibles. If you don't currently own a PocketBible Bible and you'd like to get one, you can click here to place an order.
  2. Open DailyReader.
  3. Tap View and Options.
  4. Tap the Bible tab at the bottom.
  5. Tap Browse.
  6. Select the Bible you'd like to use as your default Bible when working with DailyReader. If you do not see a Bible listed, you may need to manually enter the path of where you've installed the Bible.
    1. Tap Cancel to take you back one screen.
    2. Above the word Browse you will see a location to enter the path. Open the keyboard by tapping the keyboard icon in the lower right corner.
    3. Using the keyboard, erase the current information and enter the new path. For example, if you want the NIV to be your default Bible and you installed it to the storage card, the path to enter will be \Storage Card\My Documents\Laridian Books\NIV.LBK If your storage card has a different name, such as SD Card or CF Card then you need to make the appropriate adjustments to this path above.
    4. Tap OK to accept the change. If you don't have the path correct, you will receive an error letting you know. Read the information carefully to see if you may have made a spelling error and make any adjustments needed.
