Security Summary
At Laridian, we take precautions to protect your personal financial information, both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon in your browser and our company name, "Laridian, Inc.", displayed in green in your address bar when entering sensitive information.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment that complies with the highest industry data security standards.
Security at Our Site
Like you, we at Laridian® are concerned about the security of our personal information when we browse and shop online. In order to protect your information when shopping at our site, we use a number of techniques and comply with industry standards for data security.
Secure Sockets Layer
Shopping sites like ours on the Web use a protocol called Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL, to allow your browser to positively identify our site and to encrypt the data that flows between your browser and our website. SSL is active when you use Web addresses that start with "https:". Whether you browse to our site using https: or not, we will always use it on pages where you have to enter sensitive information.
Extended Validation (EV)
In order to give you maximum reassurance that you know where your information is going while browsing at our site, we comply with the Guidelines for Extended Validation from the CA/Browser Forum. To meet this higher standard of security, certificate authorities must:
- Establish the legal identity as well as the operational and physical presence of website owner;
- Establish that the applicant is the domain name owner or has exclusive control over the domain name; and
- Confirm the identity and authority of the individuals acting for the website owner.
Newer Web browsers verify the validity of our EV certificate when you visit our site and will display our company name (Laridian, Inc.) in a distinctive color (usually green) in the address bar to demonstrate that a valid EV certificate is in use.
Secure Storage of Personal Information
Companies like ours that accept credit cards are required to comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, which provide guidance for the secure storage of credit card and sensitive personal data.
Laridian does not store the credit card numbers, expiration dates, or card security codes you enter on our website. We have partnered with Authorize.Net, a leading payment gateway since 1996, to accept credit cards safely and securely for our customers. The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the routing and storage of sensitive customer information through the credit card processing networks. It adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing and security.
Offline Security
Laridian limits the employees who have access to your private data to only those who are required to see it for customer service purposes. None of our employees have access to your credit card number. They can issue refunds to your card without knowing or viewing your card number.
