Priority Code:

The system cannot find the file specified...PocketBibleWM5.ini

This error message will occur when trying to install PocketBible if the computer you are using has restricted access rights.  It is most common with Vista.  Log into the computer as administrator and give the installation another try. If using a work computer, you may need to install using a home computer.

Another option is to do a manual installation as follows:

1. Do a soft reset on your Pocket PC and then connect to your Vista computer.

2. The error message includes the path of where the PocketBibleWM5.ini file is located.  On your Vista computer, go to that location.

3. You will find a file called PocketBiblePktPC.ARMWM5.cab (you may or may not see the cab file extension).

4. Do a right-click on the file name and select Copy.

5. Select the drive that represents your Mobile Device connection.  Usually you will find it at the bottom in the left column of your File Explorer.  It will probably say Mobile Device.

6. Double-click My Windows Mobile Device.

7. Double-click My Documents.

8. Do a right-click Paste.

9. When it is done copying the file, go to your Pocket PC.

10. Select Start and Programs and open File Explorer.

11. In the upper-left corner, if it doesn't show My Device, tap the down arrow and select My Device.

12. Tap My Documents.

13. Tap the PocketBiblePktPC file you see listed and the installation will occur.
