How do I install Memorize! and Memorize! verse sets (download)?

For Pocket PCs and Windows CE handhelds

To install Memorize! using a Windows PC:
1. Log into your Laridian account. Click here to be taken to the Login page.
2. Click the Download button to go to your download page.
3. Scroll down the page and locate Memorize!.
4. Click the Download (Windows) link to the left of the file.
5. Click Save.
6. When you receive the Save As dialog box, look at the "Save in" location at the top of the dialog box. This is the location where the file will be saved. Write this down so you can find the file when the download is complete or change it to a location that is more familiar to you (such as DESKTOP). DO NOT save the files in the Pocket_PC My Documents folder.
7. Write down the File Name so you know the name of the file you are downloading.
8. Click Save and the file will download to the location you selected in step 6.
9. Follow this same procedure if you’ve also purchased one or more of the Memorize! verse collections.
10. Place your Pocket PC or Windows CE handheld into the cradle so that it synchronizes. Verify that Microsoft ActiveSync shows CONNECTED.
11. Locate the files that you just downloaded (see steps 6 & 7).
12. Double-click the files, one at a time, to run the setup. It may take several seconds for the setup program to start. Please be patient!
13. Follow the instructions on screen.
14. When you have completed the setup for all, go to Start and Programs on your device and locate the Memorize! icon.
15. Tap the icon to open.

To install Memorize using a Macintosh:

We do not offer a Macintosh version of the Pocket PC and Windows CE files. However, you can still install using a Macintosh. Download the Windows executable files from your Laridian account. The Windows files are self-extracting ZIP files which can be read by a number of different utilies. One such utility is Zip It. It can be downloaded and installed from http://www.maczipit.com/.

If you are installing an application such as Memorize:

1. Use your utility application (such as Zip It) to extract the appropriate CAB file for your device type. Most devices being used today will need the file with ARM in the file name.
2. Copy that CAB file to \Windows\Start Menu on your Pocket PC or Windows CE handheld.
3. On your handheld, select Start and then tap the name of the file you copied and the installation will occur. The file will then disappear from the Start menu and an icon will be found under Programs.

If you are installing a verse set:

1. Use your utility application to extract the MBK files.
2. Copy the MBK files to \My Documents\Laridian Books in main memory or on a storage card.
3. Use Memorize to open the file you just copied over.
