How do I install MyBible books to a storage card?

We recommend that you install MyBible to main memory. It is relatively small in size (less than 1 meg). Additionally, if you plan to use the MyBible features of our other products (such as DailyReader and Memorize!), you must install MyBible to main memory, not to an external storage card. You can install your Laridian Bibles and books to an external storage card. If you purchased your products as a download from our website:

  1. Download (save) the files from your Laridian account to a location on your desktop computer. Be sure to pay attention to the "Save in" location so you can find the files after the download is complete.
  2. Run (double-click) the setup files that you downloaded.
  3. During the installation process you will be asked if you want to install to Main memory or to Extension media card. Select the latter.
  4. HotSync and the files will transfer to the appropriate location.
If you purchased a CD:
  1. Place the CD in the drive.
  2. If an installation automatically appears, cancel out of it.
  3. Double-click My Computer.
  4. Right-click your CD ROM drive and select OPEN. You should now see a list of the setup files for MyBible and the books.
  5. Run (double-click) the setup files located on the CD and follow the instructions. Do not HotSync.
  6. On the desktop or laptop computer, select Start, Search (or Find), For Files and Folders.
  7. Enter INSTAPP.EXE for All or part of the file name.
  8. For the Look in location, it should point to the C hard drive (or all hard drives).
  9. Select Search (or Find).
  10. When the file is found, double-click the file and Install Tool will open. You should see all of the files listed that were installed when you ran the setup.
  11. Click the Change Destination button at the bottom.
  12. Select all of the files listed on the left and move them to the right side by clicking the double-arrows in the middle of the screen.
  13. If you see any PRC files on the right side (such as mybible.prc), move them back to the left.
  14. Click OK.
  15. Click Done and OK (if a message pops up).
  16. HotSync and the files will transfer to the appropriate location.
