Priority Code:

There was not enough free memory on this device to save this note.

This error will occur when the note file or the highlighter file has become corrupted. To correct this problem:

  • If this error occurs when you are trying to enter and save a note:
    1. On your desktop computer, do a search (Start, Search/Find, Files or Folders) for MyBibleTextNotes on your C drive. You should find a file titled MyBibleTextNotes-mBib.PRC.
    2. Copy that file to DESKTOP.
    3. On your Palm handheld, locate the file MyBibleTextNotes-mBib.PRC and delete it from your Palm. You will need a program that allows you to see individual files on your handheld. If you don't have a program that can do this currently, you can download and install a freeware program called FileZ from PalmGear.com.
    4. After the file is deleted, open MyBible. The file will be recreated with no notes.
    5. Try creating a note in the same location as where you were having trouble. Does it work?
Assuming that all is working properly, locate the MyBibleTextNotes-mBib.PRC file you saved to DESKTOP. Double-click the file to add it to the Install Tool. HotSync and the file will transfer. Try creating a note. Does it still work? If yes then you will only have lost notes created between the time it was working and you HotSynced and the time it quit working. If restoring the file causes it to fail again then the backup file is also corrupted and you will need to delete the file and start over with entering notes. Saving a copy of this file to a storage card occasionally or to a backup location on your desktop computer will give you an additional backup besides the one that gets HotSynced to your desktop computer.
  • If this error occurs when you are trying to underline or highlight text:
    1. On your desktop computer, do a search (Start, Search/Find, Files or Folders) for MyBibleHighlights on your C drive. If you have more than one Bible translation then you will find several files. Locate the file specific to the translation with which you are experiencing the problem.
    2. Copy that file to DESKTOP.
    3. On your Palm handheld, open MyBible. Tap Edit and Delete Bible Module. Delete the appropriate highlights file for the translation that was being used.
    4. Try the highlighting or underlining in the same book with which you were having trouble previously. Does it work?
Assuming that all is working properly, locate the MyBibleHighlights file you saved to DESKTOP. Double-click the file to add it to the Install Tool. HotSync and the file will transfer. Try the underlining or highlighting, again. Does it still work? If yes then you will only have lost the underlining or highlighting created between the time it was working and you HotSynced and the time it quit working. If restoring the file causes it to fail again then the backup file is also corrupted and you will need to delete the file and start completely over with entering your underlining or highlighting. Saving a copy of the highlighter files to a storage card occasionally or to a backup location on your desktop computer will give you an additional backup besides the one that gets HotSynced to your desktop computer.
