I just can't seem to get PrayerPartner installed (Mac).

We've seen a few obscure problems that can keep PrayerPartner from being installed. The following information is based on the assumption that you have already tried (and followed exactly) all of the step-by-step procedures that were provided in the Laridian Knowledgebase for "How do I install PrayerPartner to my Palm OS device?" Assuming this, following are some additional items you can try:

  • Make sure you are looking in the correct location for the PrayerPartner icon labeled Pray! It must show ALL in the upper right corner of your handheld. You might also try looking under UNFILED.
  • Make sure you have enough free space available to install the products. To check, go to the home screen of your Palm OS handheld. Tap the upper left corner to get your drop down menu. Select INFO. Installing PrayerPartner can require up to 200k of space.
  • Try a different USB connection. If you are connected to a USB Hub, try connecting directly to the computer. If you are already connected directly to the computer, try a different USB connection, also on the computer.
  • Check to see if there are other files in the installer which are preventing the pray!.prc file from getting installed. Do NOT add .zip, .txt, or .htm files to the installer. Those are not Palm OS compatible files.
  • Do you have more than one username? If yes, you may be installing to the incorrect username. If you HotSync and it appears that it works correctly but the installer still shows the file listed, you may be trying to install to the incorrect username. Place the file under the other username and try the HotSync, again.
