How do I upgrade from MyBible 2 to MyBible 5?

MyBible 5 requires that you are using a device that runs Palm OS 5.0 or later. To check the version of your Palm operating system (OS):

1. Tap the upper left corner of your Palm.

2. Tap INFO from the drop down menu.

3. Tap VERSION at the bottom.

If you own a device with OS 5.0 or later then continue with these instructions. In order to benefit from all of the features of your new MyBible, it is important that you replace all of your "old" Bibles (that is, MyBible 2 compatible Bibles) with the new, updated versions that you'll find in your personal download account. Follow these few, brief steps.

  • STEP 1: Purchase
    1. Select MyBible 5 on the Order Form.
    2. Select any additional Bibles or products that you'd like to add at this time.
    3. Do not select duplicate copies of the Bibles that you already own.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and Proceed to checkout.
    5. During the checkout process it is VERY important that you tell the system that you are a Returning customer. Otherwise the Bible translations you already own will not get updated properly. If you need assistance with retrieving your account information, send an email to sales@laridian.com with as much information about your account as possible in order to help us find your account. CD Customers: If you purchased a CD from a store, you must register your CD in order to obtain the updated Bibles included on your CD. Registration information is included in the documentation that came with your CD.

After you purchase MyBible 5 by following the instructions in Step 1, your personal download account will include the updated copies of the Bibles that you previously purchased.

  • STEP 2: Download
    1. Login to your download account.
    2. Download the installation file for MyBible (mb4setup).
    3. Download the installation file for any new Bibles or books that you've selected.
    4. Download the updated versions of the Bibles that you previously purchased.
During the download process, make sure you pay attention to the Save in location so you know where you can find the files later for installation. DESKTOP is a good location. You can always move the files to a more convenient location after you've completed your installation.
    • STEP 3: Install
      1. Install the new MyBible 5 program by following the instructions that were received via email at the completion of your new order. Do not install any additional Bibles yet.
      2. Start MyBible.
      3. Select Edit and Delete Bible modules.
      4. Delete all modules that are shown in the list.  Then exit.
      5. Install the updated MyBible Bibles and any additional MyBible Bibles and books that you have selected and downloaded in Step 2.
