How do I move my Memorize! verse sets from main memory to a storage card?

We recommend that you leave Memorize! in main memory. It is relatively small in size. Additionally, if you plan to use a MyBible Bible with Memorize!, you must leave Memorize! in main memory. You can move your Memorize! verse sets to an external storage card. There are several ways to do this.

  • Delete the Memorize! verse sets from your handheld and then reinstall to the storage location (recommended). NOTE: Do NOT delete any personal verse sets that you have created yourself unless you know for sure you have a backup of the file on your desktop computer that you can restore.
    1. Open Memorize! on your handheld.
    2. Select File and Delete to delete the verse sets you wish to install to the storage location.
    3. Reinstall your verse sets to the storage card location by following the instructions in the Knowledgebase for installing Memorize! products to a storage card.
  • Use a 3rd Party File Management Program (recommended for personal verse sets) One such program is McFile. McFile allows individual database files (including the Memorize! verse sets) to be moved to and from a storage card. McFile is a general file browser that can be used with all of your programs. Another option is FileZ.
  • MS Gate Sony Clie users can use MS Gate to copy or move the Bible modules to the storage card. DO NOT move the Memorize!.prc file; this is the program file and must reside in main memory.
  • Use a Card Reader / Writer with your PC You can use a card reader to copy Memorize! books from your PC directly to the storage card. If you move the Memorize! books to an external storage card, you must place them in a folder where they will be found by your Laridian programs. Memorize! books should reside in one of the following folders:
    • Palm\Launcher
    • Palm\Programs\Memorize (recommended)
Note for Power Users You can speed up both the Launcher and Memorize! by storing the books in the Palm\Programs\Memorize folder. You'll need to use a program such as McFile or FileZ to do this.
