How do I install DailyReader books to a storage card?

We recommend that you install DailyReader to main memory. It is relatively small in size (around 100k). Additionally, if you plan to use a MyBible Bible with DailyReader, you must install DailyReader to main memory, not to an external storage card. You can install your DailyReader books to an external storage card. Since each device works a bit differently than the others, as you are reviewing the following instructions and guidelines, keep in mind that you may find that a step doesn't match your device exactly. However, the general process should be similar.

  1. Run (double-click) the setup files that were downloaded from our website to your desktop computer (or from the CD if applicable). Do not HotSync.
  2. On the desktop or laptop computer, select Start, Search (or Find), For Files and Folders, All Files and Folders.
  3. Enter INSTAPP.EXE for All or part of the file name.
  4. For the Look in location, it should point to the C hard drive (or all hard drives).
  5. Select Search (or Find).
  6. When the file is found, double-click the file and Install Tool will open. You should see all of the files listed that were installed when you ran the setup.
  7. Click the Change Destination button at the bottom.
  8. Select all of the files listed on the left and move them to the right side by clicking the double-arrows in the middle of the screen.
  9. If you see any PRC files on the right side (such as dailyreader.prc), move them back to the left.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click Done and OK (if a message pops up).
  12. HotSync and the files will transfer to the appropriate location.
