Commit scripture to memory the easy, effective way with Laridian Memorize!
Memorize! helps you:
- Collect and categorize
- Memorize
- Review
Simply enter the verses that you want to memorize or review and pick a category for each verse. Then use Memorize! to review and
test yourself until you have a verse memorized. Memorize! will even remind you each day to work on your scripture memory.
Review verses
Just tap the Review button to see the verse that you are learning.
Quickly scroll through your list
Use the up and down buttons to move to the previous or next verse in your list. You'll quickly be able to review all of the verses that
you're working on.
Test your recollection
Once you've memorized the verse, use the unique test feature to test your recollection of the verse. Memorize! will show you the
verse reference and translation. You respond by writing the first letter of each word in the verse. As you enter the correct letter,
Memorize! will show that word.
You can't do that with a 3x5 index card!
Stuck?
Memorize! will help you along. Tap the Hint button to see the hint that you specified when you added the verse to your list.
Tap Help to see the next word, or tap Show to see the entire verse or passage. Then select Repeat from the menu to
retest yourself on the same verse.
When you're satisfied with that verse, press the up or down button to move to the previous or next verse in your list.
Adapt to your needs and preferences!
Memorize! does not impose a specific memorization and review method upon you, but rather allows you to adapt the program to meet
your needs. Use the Categories feature to configure your verses to your method and preferences. Here are some possibilities.
-
Do you want to work on a small number of verses everyday, and review a different set of verses every day? Add a small number of
verses to the 'Memorize' category. Then add additional categories, such as 'Monday Review', 'Tuesday Review', and so forth. As a verse
is memorized, move it to one of these review categories. Try to keep the number of verses in each category roughly equal.
-
Do you want to dedicate a larger amount of time to reviewing verses that you've already learned, but do it less often? Maintain
only one 'Review' category.
-
Do you want to memorize different verses on each day of the week? Create additional categories, such as 'Monday Memory',
'Tuesday Memory', and so forth.
-
Do you want to distinguish between verses that you are working on, verses that you have recently learned (and therefore need to
review more often), and verses that you know very well? Then use categories such as 'Memorizing', 'Daily Review', 'Weekly Review',
and 'Monthly Review'.
- Do you want to memorize verse by subject? Then use categories such as 'Evangelism' and 'Worship'.
Entering your verses is easy!
Quickly enter a new verse; just specify the verse reference and translation, a brief hint to help you remember the verse, and the verse
itself. Memorize! will remember the verse for you.
It works with MyBible, too!
If you use MyBible, you can import the verse directly from your MyBible Bible. It's faster and more accurate than typing!
