- From my perspective you've hit the ball out of the park with PB4... I think you've added virtually every significant item on my PB3 wishlist. PocketBible was the reason I bought a Windows Mobile device initially and continues to be the primary reason I use one. (Ken H., Beersheba Springs, TN)
- Without a doubt, PocketBible 4 for Windows Mobile along with the entire suite of PocketBible applications is the most advanced and complete bible reader available today. I have used many different PocketPC based bibles, and the amount of translations and Laridian's commitment to continual advancement of the application has made me a lifelong customer. It doesn't hurt that I can use my purchased bibles on my iPod touch, my Blackberry and my Windows desktop computer. Thanks for the good work you guys do! (Kevin H., Houston, TX)
- I have been enjoying PocketBible since 2003 as my electronic Bible of choice. Over this period Laridian has constantly upgraded its award winning product to include a dizzying array of new and exciting program features. With the release of PocketBible 4 Laridian has pulled out all the stops, making PocketBible the ultimate "pocket Bible." It's simply without peer when it comes to speed, user friendliness, ease of reading with auto scroll or iPhone like virtual scrolling or page flicks, incredible fast searching of word/s or phrases even across multiple Bible versions, full screen maximize mode for any book now accompanied by the ability to "flick" between all your open books, a flotilla of user set options that now includes a fully customizable toolbar, all this is rounded out by dozens of Bibles, Commentaries, dictionaries, devotionals, and much more. PocketBible is simply the best value Bible Software on the market bar none. In my summation there are no competitors in the electronic Bible publishing market any longer. (Darryl T., Silver Springs, MD)
- PocketBible 4 has several new features that make it more easier to use than previous versions. In particular, I've enjoyed the options to search for words in all existing dictionaries/commentaries with a single click as well as the option to see all existing translations of a given verse. This feature alone makes it a worthwhile upgrade. The ability to "maximize" a given translation/commentary is also terrific on our small screens. You can never have too much space, and being able to "jump in and out" of the detail level is a real help. Keep up the good work! (Kirby V., Champaign IL)
- Over the years I have bounced between a large number of mobile devices and mobile operating systems. However, I always make sure to have at least one Windows Mobile device in my current collection, primarily due to the resources, functionality, and importance of Laridian's PocketBible. I've been using the latest PocketBible 4 version on my T-Mobile Shadow and I am now finally able to get most all of the functionality I had on larger touch screen devices right on my slim, pocketable non-touch screen Smartphone. I take sermon notes every week, read my Bible daily, and read devotions on my Shadow and couldn't be happier with the latest release of PocketBible for Windows Mobile. PocketBible actually has earned a spot on my Home screen as the right soft key so it is always and easily accessible whenever I pick up my phone. (Matt M., Seattle, WA)
- Having used PocketBible 4 for a short time, I can already see that it contains many great improvements and enhancements over the previous version, making it well worth the upgrade. My favourite feature so far is the new Auto-Scroll function, which makes it a lot easier to read the bible at my own pace without having to manually scroll up or down all the time. Keep up the great work, Laridian! (Jeremy F., Stuttgart, Germany)
- I chose Pocket Bible long ago because I love to have Scripture with me everywhere, and I love being able to search it quickly. Daily reading with it is easy and, dare I say, fun. Pocket Bible was largely responsible for making me jump from a WinCE HPC to a PocketPC in 2001, and v4 adds features that I had never even considered. Pocket Bible is the first thing installed on my new PocketPCs. (Kevin W., College Station, TX)
- I love having lots of resources at my fingertips, so the new "maximized mode" is a welcome enhancement. I am no longer bound by the limitations of my device's small screen. (Ralph B., Pitman, NJ)
- I had pretty much abandoned my PocketBible when you guys came out with your windows version. With the new mobile version, I can now get to my resources with similar simplicity, so am back to using it again - I really missed it, and am glad to have it back. Thanks! (Tim H.)
- With PocketBible 4's maximize feature, I can have quick access to multiple versions, plus strong's numbers, with a quick swipe of my finger. I had no idea how useful that would be, and now I don't know how I could live without it. P.S. Seriously, PocketBible 4 really is the best yet. (Erik J., Bothell, WA)
- The Maximize function really improves the ability to work with multiple books on a PDA. I couldn't do this very well before due to the small screen size. Now I can open multiple Bibles, Commentaries, Devotions, and even Search Results and still read them effectively. Even better is that the impact on device memory is still low with multiple books open.
I appreciate the auto-scrolling for reading efforts (despite my comments about it in the tickets). It's useful to know that the verses will scroll down instead of wondering whether my page scroll or line scroll button is pending or didn't register. I had issues with the amount of time it took to push a button and then have the action actually occur. Not often, but enough that I'd sometimes page forward 2 or 3 times or not at all when reading aloud. The auto-scroll helps avoid that. I really appreciate the changes you've made in this release. I think that they're a great win for PocketBible users. (Peter S., Roanoke, TX)
- I have been using Laridian products since I had a Palm III. When I changed devices and started using a PocketPC, PocketBible 2 was one of the first purchases I made. PocketBible is an invaluable tool for personal devotion and bible reading and PocketBible 4 is the best yet. Laridian has added some incredible features that make using the program even more enjoyable and productive. I especially like being able to have multiple books open full-screen and flipping between them with just a flick of my finger or stylus. Make sure you upgrade as soon as possible, you will not be sorry. (Kevin J., Bloomington, IN)
- I love the auto-scroll feature and the maximized windows. I now leave my commentary and favorite Bible versions open and maximized so I can flick between them. In addition, I had given up on the handheld for daily Bible reading because I tired of turning the pages (lazy I know). Auto-scrolling has solved that problem. (David R., Clovis, NM)
- I have recommended PocketBible 4 to many of my friends. This is the first application which allows me to read, highlight and notate as I study the Bible just like I do with real paper, pen and highlighter. The addition of syncing to a desktop application expands its flexibility and portability all the way from my desk at home, to my prayer and reading time, to the pew at church. It's all together for my reference and personal growth. (Dave P., St Louis, MO)
- PocketBible 4 is a fantastic upgrade! With being able to Maximize views now, I no longer have to choose between what books I want to look up information in so that I have some readable information on the screen.
Also, being able to search through all commentaries and dictionaries has proven invaluable as I can now peruse information much quicker! And with the customizable toolbars, I only really need one toolbar set up with the items that I regularly use! Thanks, Laridian, for a fantastic upgrade! The best just keeps getting better! (Greg G., Wildwood, NJ)
